BMW Unveils 2 Electric Concept Cars

BMW has unveiled the design and features of 2 Electric Powered Concept Cars in Frankfurt. These are the first one to come from the E-Mobility Division of BMW.

BMW unveiled electric i3 and plug-in hybrid i8 models which BMW claims to launch in a period of 3 years. Norbert Reithofer, board chairman said, “We are marking another milestone in the history of the BMW Group. As chairman of the board and an engineer myself, I am very proud of this project.”

BMW-Inspired Headphones? Now That’ll Cost Ya

Have you ever wondered what military-grade headphones are like? Well, we’ve got something a little more stylish than your typical army cans. Audio expert, Sennheiser has teamed up with BMW Designworks USA to bring their S1 Digital general aviation headset.

As it sounds, these headphones were made for pilots to protect their ears during takeoff, and the tech ‘examines’ the cockpit’s recent noise levels to ‘better understand’ how much to eliminate during all phases of flight.

The cans themselves are absolutely gorgeous, and they look so comfortable, you’d wonder if a celebrity would slam down the dough for a pair of these. I’d have to admit though, it’d be funny to see a music producer rocking these.

Hewlett Packard Provides Robust Network For BMW

The world’s largest computer maker, HP, had announced yesterday that it will be partnering up with German car manufacturer BMW. The partnership will mean that BMW will benefit from HP’s networking architecture.

We’re not sure what the partnership will have on HP sales, but one can assume that sales would rise given the prestige BMW currently holds as being one of the top luxury car makers.

BMW Makes Turns Safer With New Assistant

BMW is usually recognized for performance, but now they are more interested in high tech safety. In an attempt to make left turn and U-turns safer for drivers, BMW has developed what is called a “left turn assistant”. It is an accident prevention system that combines navigation, camera, laser and vehicle-to-vehicle communication technology.
