New Cloudbox From Lacie Keeps Your Data Safe

LaCie now has a new cloud storage system called the CloudBox that is essentially a hard drive that backs up your files both locally and wireless to a cloud-based platform. 128GB Smartphones Coming Later This Year?

Toshiba has recently revealed a 19 nanometer NAND flash memory which leads to some very promising results in the wireless industry. Such a small chip would lead to a high capacity smartphone or tablet. The ultra small size allows 16 chips to be stacked one upon the other, at 8GB per chip and two bits per cell. If you do the math, 8GB multiplied by 16 equals 128GB.

This technology can even lead to three-bits-per cell stacking for future developments. Even though the technology is brand new, it is already being handed out to companies through test samples…

Lenovo’s X220 Lasts Up To 23 Hours On A Single Charge

Have you ever wanted a laptop that last a few days on a single charge? If the answer is yes, we may just have something for you. Lenovo’s X220 is a 12.1″ laptop that runs on a 1366×768 resolution and weighs under three pounds. The laptop is full featured and contains an a/b/g/n WiFi with Bluetooth connectivity. The device runs on Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit and carries 4GB of memory. The chip is an Intel Core i5 running at 2.5GHz and storage is sufficient with a 320GB hard drive @ 7,200 RPM.

When adding a 6-cell battery slice for an additional $179, users will be able to enjoy an additional ten hours of battery life at the expense of a heavier laptop. This is not the most powerful laptop out there, but it is truly a solid option to business professionals looking to take their computing needs to the next level.

SuperSpeed USB 3 also lets users move a 25GB full high definition movie in under four minutes. This technology will be a requisite for any of you “media collectors” who have tons of music or videos on your computer, or even if you just don’t like to wait.
