Facebook Is Facing Firing Lawsuits

Firing of employees over things posted on social media platforms is the basis of dozens of lawsuits in the U.S. Many of these are included by the National Labor Relations Bureau.

A settlement in February between the NLRB and American Medical Response of Connecticut Inc.,was a lawsuit that took place because a woman made foul Facebook statuses about her employer. Also, there was an April case that NLRB settled out of court involved a claim of retaliation for Facebook comments about possible labor code violations by Build.com. This settlement seemed more favorable toward the terminated worker.
