Eee Pad Transformer 2 W/ Windows 8, Due 2012

Although we recently heard about the Eee Pad Transformer’s debut, it looks like the company is already set to launch the Eee Pad Transformer 2, next year, with Windows 8. Although Android’s Honeycomb has been a hot commodity for recent tablets, I have a feeling that consumers are going to want to taste what Windows 8 has to offer.

News of the Transformer sequel was leaked by an Asus employee at this years Computex and was quickly reported on the french site, Les Numeriques. The employee was sure to note that users will have the option of sticking with Android on the new Eee pad, if they choose to.

Gigabyte’s New Motherboard Features 240GB Integrated SSD

Just a week ago, we blogged about the Gigabyte motherboard with the integrated 20GB SSD. Glenn Barber spoke about how he thought it was cool to have 20GB of space on the motherboard so that users could easily reformat without re-installing the operating system each time.

I have to admit that even I thought that was a cool new feature at the time, until the Computex 2011 show when I heard that Gigabyte will also be releasing motherboards with 60GB, 120GB, and 240GB of *integrated on-board SSD, providing a max read/write of 140MB/s and 90MB/s, respectively.

3GB Graphics Cards- A Trending Norm?

Asus is rocking two new graphics cards, the MARS II and the Matrix GTX 580 (displayed top). The Matrix can be purchased in two versions, standard and Platinum. Both cards carry a more than plentiful 1.5GB of RAM and each has a dual-fan cooling solution that takes an entire three PCI slots, making these graphic cards fit best in full tower computer cases.
