Leaked Photos: Nokia N9- Coming Soon!

Nokia is jet set to launch the 11th Nokia Connection event in Singapore tomorrow. The company is expected to reveal the highly anticipated Nokia N9 at the conference. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Finnish phone manufacturers lineup, the N9 is the successor of the well known Nokia N900 smartphone.

The handset will run the MeeGo operating system (phew), leaving those dreading Symbian, jumping for joy. Thanks to Pocketnow, we have a few leaked photos, and this phone is looking thinner than you’d ever expect!

250 Features In OS X Lion, All For $30

Here’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the low-down on Apple’s new OS X Lion. For $30, you can grab the latest version of the Apple desktop and/or laptop software for your Apple machine.

OS X comes with over 250 new features and 3,000 new APIs. Apple claims that users will see iPad influence in ‘many places’. A cool new feature that OS X has is the ability to have any application run in full screen. An app called Mission Control allows you to easily see all your open apps to get a good idea of what you’re working with.

Android Conference Coming This Fall: Android Open

Android has, without a doubt, risen from “zero to hero” in a very short period of time. While there is an increasing number of developers and Android apps, there is an equal number of increasing issues of fragmentation, new app stores, and new players. As the community gets larger, there must be an event where all these Android developers can get together and socialize, right? Well, this Fall, O’Reilly will be launching Android Open as the first “big tent” Android-only conference.
