AMD 9-Series Motherboard Goes Live

AMD is set to launch its 9-series chipset this week, in efforts to bring next-gen technology to computer enthusiasts around the world. The new chipset was designed to complement AMD’s Scorpius desktop platform, a platform that will feature the 8-core “Zambezi” processor and support AMD Radeon HD6000 series graphics cards.

The 9-series chipset will be the first to support AMD’s AM3+ socket processors, as well as offer backwards compatibility with earlier generations.

Intel’s New Hexa-Core 3.6GHz i7-995X Extreme Edition

We just got word that Intel will be releasing the first of the 32-nanometer Atom processors on August 1st of this year. Coming a little sooner on June 26th is the hexa-core (six core) i7-980. LG Announces Razor Thin Laptops Coming Soon!

LG is shrinking the size of its usual notebook with the new release of the P430 and P530 notebooks, featuring Intel Sandy Bridge Core i processors. The proof is in the pudding with LG’s new Blade series notebooks, an ultra-thin solution to modern day computing. LG has come forth to say that these two razor thin models will be available for purchase later this month. As guessed, the P430 will be a 14-inch LCD notebook, measuring out to be 4.3mm thick. The P530 will have a 15.6-inch display with a 4.7mm thickness.

iMac, Meet SandyBridge

Apple is refreshing its iMac lineup tomorrow. The new iMacs will have the all new Sandy Bridge Core i5 and Core i7 processors from Intel. An Apple Insider, Kasper Jade said that Apple will release the new iMacs on Tuesday, May third and that the new Apple products will carry the high-speed Thunderbolt port.

The report also stated that the release of an update comes at an “important time for Apple since Macs have seen a decline in shipments.”

Samsung’s Dual-Core Atom W/Chrome OS- LEAKED!

After hearing about Acer’s Chrome netbook in the works, it seems like Samsung will be amongst the first manufacturers to build a Chrome netbook. The details arrived late Wednesday night on a code page for Chromium OS. The netbook is currently codenamed Alex and will carry the same 1280 x 800 screen resolution as the Cr-48, but with more power! The device will feature a dual-core 1.5GHz Atom N550, 2GB of memory and a SanDisk P4 mini-Solid-State Drive.

Hewlett-Packard is about to launch an all-new 11.6-inch business notebook called the HP 3105m Mini Executive. To many, the laptop looks similar to a HP Pavilion dm1z.
