AT&T Gave $500K To Congressmen Supporting The Merger

72 Democratic lawmakers sent a letter to the FCC and Justice Department praising the AT&T merger with T-Mobile. And guess what? 66 out of the 70 signatures received a total of $500,000 in campaign contributions from AT&T in the most recent election cycle.

Most of the donations came from political action committees associated with AT&T, the largest corporate donor to members of Congress for the past twenty years.

Weiner Caught Red Handed, Admits To Sending Lewd Photo

Weiner originally stated that his Twitter account had been hacked and that the perpetrator send a lewd photo of a non-nude man’s crotch to a 21 year old woman.

When the representative was asked whether or not the photo was him, he stated that he could not say “with certitude” if the photo was in fact his. Hmmm. Today, Weiner came clean and said “To be clear, I am deeply regretting what I have done and I am not resigning” followed by him saying that he will “take full responsibility” for his actions.

CNN Launches Full Featured Application For Android

CNN announced yesterday that it will be releasing a highly engaging new app for Android users. The application is of course free and is available through the Android market. Users will be able to create their own stories and share them from their phones, such as iReport.

Government Shutdown May Delay Space Shuttle Launch

NASA confirmed on April 8th, 2011 that a government shutdown might delay the final launch of the space shuttle Endeavour. The odds of a shutdown increased when Democrats and Republicans wrestled over a budget plan. According to Computerworld, a NASA spokesman said that although a shutdown lasting only a few days would not “affect the scheduled April 29 shuttle launch, a longer shutdown” would.
