It feels really bad when you are having an important conversation on Skype and you go to check whose at the door and eventually your call terminates because you have walked out of your WiFi range.

Spherical Robot To Handle Tasks Involving Radioactivity

Working at a Radioactive Site for Humans meant a lot of risk and danger of getting affected by radioactive material. Many Nuclear facilities have lost their valuable men while trying to do the tasks which involved radioactivity.

A good solution to this problem might be a Robot. Though robots might be ideal employees for a company because they never tire, never complain, never ask for extra wages and always do what they are asked to do right away.

Make A Working Tool With 3D Printing

Z Corporation is a company that has made a 3d printer which enables us to print out a duplicate of any 3d object no matter how complex or sophisticated its shape may be. It uses a complex engineered material which is in powder form, then some binary material is added which solidifies the powder particles in the given pattern of the 3d object.

First of all, the 3d object that you want to be printed is scanned and the complex 3d image of the object is saved in the computer with every minor details. This image is sent to the printer for printing. You can customize the color of the object any way you like and hit the PRINT button.

Concept Zero-Emission Jet Achieving 3,125MPH

The European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS) has proposed a zero-emission Hypersonic Transportation aircraft that may turn flights into green-modes of transportation. The concept jet runs on a biofuel, seaweed, and will be able to achieve speeds above the atmoshpere, at 3,125 miles per hour.

The Zero Emission High Speed Transport (ZEHST) will make the current Concorde obsolete, and best of all, won’t harm our Earth anymore than all the cars we have on the road, at present.

Google Introduces Image-Search, Voice Recognition, + Instant Pages

Google is introducing new features, engineered within mobile devices, such as voice and image search to its traditional Google search box. The company claimed that they will roll out a speech-recognition tool displayed as a microphone button on the right side of Google’s search box for a select number of visitors on Tuesday.

For now, it will only be available on Google’s Chrome Web Browser, a browser that claims 12.5% of the web browsing market share. The new speech recognition tool was programmed to take input both from standard English as well as varying accents to help create a platform for everyone to use.

How To Make Human-Sized Invisibility Cloaks

Thanks to a new printing method, we are now able to produce large sheets of metamaterials, a new class of materials that is designed to interact with light much differently than natural materials can. Metamaterials are made up of intricately patterned layers, often made of…you guessed it, metals.

The patterns must be on the same scale as the wavelength of the light they’re designed to interact with and must be of nano-size. Although researchers have been able to make invisibility sheets in the past, they were so small that it wasn’t a practical cloak, until now.

Hybrid Tractors Reduce Fuel Consumption By 50%

Heavy duty machinery, such as tractors have been used for mining and agriculture for a very long time. When these heavy duty machines are used, not only do they use up a lot of fuel and produce byproduct carbon emissions, but they are used for hours on end- usually to get some type of job done.

Fortunately, researchers at Aalto University in Finland have taken the success of hybrid technology from cars and implanted that knowledge to build hybrid machines. The heavy duty hybrids use both combustion and electric engines, cutting fuel consumption in half.

New Proposal For Apple Sunglasses

One of the major difference in selling points between the Kindle and the iPad is that E-ink can read outdoors in the bright daylight. Apple has made plans to improve that problem that so many of us have. There solution is a future generation of its iOS devices.
