French Company To File Anti-competitive Suit Against Google

An Internet company in France says it will seek heavy damages from Google in what it says is the largest claim of its kind in Europe against the American giant.

The action, which the company, 1plusV, says it will bring on Tuesday at the Commercial Court of Paris, will raise issues about whether Google has unfairly shut out competitors. 1plusV says it will claim 295 million euros, or $421 million, in damages, based on income it believes it lost because of Google’s actions.

New Snapdragon-Powered Sharp Smartphone- LEAKED!

It looks like Sharp is working on another Android smartphone, with the model number SH8188U representing it. No clue on how large the screen is on this slate, and it will be running Android 2.2 Froyo, telling us that we don’t deserve Gingerbread? But what about the holidays?

UK Tech Sector Gets $60 Million Push

U.K. investment firm Passion Capital just raised a fund of $60 million, $40 million of which was contributed by the U.K. government. They plan to make around 50 investments with the fund, each around $200,000, mostly to companies with little more than a pitch or a prototype. They recently released their invest strategy on their lovely website.
