Sony A390, Great Budget DSLR Camera

Sony’s A390, starting at 350 pounds, is one of the cheapest DSLRs on the market. It features a bit of a restyling from the previous A380. For the price, the A390 is one of the best deals money can buy. The camera comes equipped with a 2.7-inch LCD screen that can be tilted for better viewing and comes with Live View that lets you check out the action when filming or setting up tripod shots.

The camera has a 14.7 MP sensor that allows it to be a powerhouse at taking sharp photos.

Sony Bloggie 3D- Get It While It’s Hot!

At the Consumer Electronics Show 2011, the Sony Bloggie 3D camera was revealed. The camera was designed to be in the price range of ordinary film shooters, at $249.99, users can shoot 3D videos at 1080p and take 3D still shots at 5MP. It has an Exmor-CMOS sensor that ensures you get the clearest shot, even in low light conditions. The camera can capture photos while you’re shooting video at the same time, which I think is the coolest feature. The camera comes with a 2.4″ 3D display that doesn’t require special 3D glasses to view.

New Google Video-On-Demand Service Arriving Next Week!

What do you think about Netflix? I’ve used Netflix on and off for a number of years but have never been that thrilled with the service. I will admit that it is cool to be able to rent older classics or new releases that you may have not had the time to see in the theaters, but overall I wasn’t very impressed. The fact that you have to remember to log on to check if the DVD is already out was a bit of a hassle for me. Because I have better things to do, I would not login to check frequently enough and forget which movies to “look out for”, thus never renting the release. I guess you could call me lazy for not writing down the movies on a list and diligently checking, but I am sure I am not the only lazy person out there.

Hulu’s Plot For World Domination

Although Hulu was originally met with skepticism when they launched their paid subscription service, Hulu Plus, Hulu’s price drop towards the end of 2010 has been a strategic move on the company’s part. In a blog post summarizing the company’s results for Q1, 2011, Jason Kilar (CEO of Hulu) said that Hulu is on track to have over…

Samsung Introduces ‘90% More Efficient’ LCD Panel

Although displays typically compete in areas of screen resolution, contrast ratio, and through a variety of ports, Samsung is charging the tech industry by storm. The company will soon be producing a mass marketed transparent LCD panel. Production will start in the month of April with plans to ship out later this year. The 22″ transparent display will be made available in black-and-white as well as color.

They’ll both host a contrast ratio of 500:1 and a WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) screen resolution. Today’s LCD panels use back light unit technology, called BLU and have a 5% transparency rate. Samsung’s transparency rate will be 4x better for its black-and-white model and 3x more transparent for…
