Apple Barely Keeps Up With The Demand For iPad2

Apple has just recently released iPad2 and Apple fans have rushed to the Apple Stores so unexpectedly that now Apple can barely keep up with the demand for iPad2.

Tim Cook, Chief Operating Officer at Apple said, “Sales of the iPad 2 have absolutely been a frenzy. As we stepped into July, we have been able to increase the supply further, and some SKUs in some countries are at a supply-demand balance. We believe that some people chose to buy an iPad over a Mac in the quarter, but we believe that even more people chose to bought an iPad over a Windows PC.”

Live Android is an open-source project that allows consumers to boot Android on any x86-based machine. The software was designed to load from a CD, but you can also use a flash drive to boot Android from the PC.

Creative Announces New MP3 Player

Creative has announced today that it will be releasing a new Creative Zen mp3 player. The new M300 media player will feature wireless connectivity and Bluetooth 2.1, allowing users to enjoy their music wirelessly through a set of Bluetooth headphones. The M300 will also feature a microSD Card slot and is capable of having up to 32GB in additional music from built-in memory.

The device comes with an FM radio as do most Zen mp3 players and allows the user to preset up to 32 stations.

New Hydrocycle Lets You Bike In Waters

A new Hydrocycle is out on the market, it’s basically a watercraft that lets you “ride it” much like riding a bicycle, except you’ll be in water. The rider will move the pedals in a clockwise fashion to spin a 12″ propeller, allowing the Hydrocycle to drive smoothly on rivers, lakes, or even oceans at speeds up to six miles per hour. The Hydrocycle uses polyethylene pontoons that were developed by a professional canoe designer for optimum buoyancy (don’t worry, you won’t have to hold your breath to stay afloat)!

Sony has released the Crackle app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch this past Monday. The new application allows consumers to stream full-length movies and television shows to their respective Apple devices, for free. That’s right, users can enjoy unlimited, on demand viewing for free. The app comes as an extension of the www.crackle.com website it streams movies and television episodes at the cost of the viewer watching a couple of commercials. If you’ve already connected the dots, this service is very similar to Hulu.

Introducing Acer’s First Dual-Screen Laptop: Iconia

The Acer Iconia is the mutant child of a laptop and a tablet, and some are calling it a touchbook, but that’s a little to Orwellian newspeak for me. Essentially, it’s a laptop with two 14-inch touch screens. The only previous “touchbook” was the Toshiba Libretto W100, which had a limited release.

The Iconia weighs in at 6.2 pounds, is powered by the Intel Core i5-480M, has 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and has a 640 GB hard drive. Connectivity options include 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and an Ethernet port.
