Dimenco Announces 52″ Lenticular TV

Ex-Philips engineers have started a company called Dimenco with the prime goal of developing glasses-free TV. Rather than calling them Googlers (since they didn’t work at Google), you have my permission to call them Philips-ers (although that doesn’t roll off the tongue very well.) The four engineers started the company with the idea that they would have the first commercial product available by year 2013.

Dimenco has today announced that it will be unleashing a 52″ lenticular (produces illusion of depth) TV LCD, offering full 1080p visuals via glasses-free 3D.

Full HD On A 4.8″ Screen- Check It Out

Samsung and LG are working in consortium to pack extra pixels into tablet-sized screens for a very high-density pixel ratio. Last year, Ortus Technologies demonstrated a 4.8-inch Full HD LCD that was able to manage a 1920 x 1080 458ppi into a panel that provided images far sharper than iPhone 4’s Retina Display. Ortus Technologies is back to show us the upgraded display in 3D.

Thrill 4G With Wikitude 3D Browser

It looks like the highly awaited HTC EVO 3D is going to be having some heavy competition this year. LG Electronics and Wikitude have just announced that the LG Optimus 3D (seen at the MWC) will be named the Thrill 4G for AT&T and will be coupled with Wikitude’s 3D browser. The Wikitude 3D browser allows for better interaction and engagement in real-time user environments.
