Leaked Photo Shows Measurement of New iPhone5

As Apple gets closer to releasing the iPhone 5, we have seen some good photo/images leaks of the hotly anticipated next-gen device/handset. Today, there are fresh images that may confirm that the iPhone will indeed be a different redesign from the iPhone 4 and 4S.

The big changes from the old iPhone 4S to the iPhone 5. The phone measures 58.47 mm wide, 123.83 mm high and 7.6 mm thin. The screen is 4″. The earphone jack has been relocated to the bottom of the phone. The dock connector is much smaller, similar in size to micro USB.

Galaxy S2 Gets A QWERTY Keyboard

The Samsung Galaxy S2, powered by Android, is already making news in Asia and Europe as the best Android Smartphone yet. However, US users have yet to experience the epic of this handset. This cool smartphone is expected to arrive in the US in late July or August as the news suggests.

Also, different carriers will have this smartphone released under different names. The Sprint variant will be called the Samsung Within, on AT&T the Attain, and on Verizon, the Function. Looks like AT&T’s version is making a huge change in the handset’s design which is simply cool. Yes, it’s true. AT&T will be releasing the Attain with a QWERTY keyboard.

Microsoft’s Influence On Major Mobile Companies

Nokia is expected to launch 12 new Windows phones next year and according to Forbes, a couple of them will offer dual-core processors. A couple of the dual-core phones will be powered by ST-Ericsson’s U8500 system-on-a-chip (not to be confused with ‘hotdog-on-a-stick’) package, with full support for the ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core processors.

Nokia is also said to have already begun developing a Windows Phone, despite the expected launch date in 2012. Microsoft has also asked HTC, LG, Samsung, and Dell to utilize the same chipsets, display sizes, and camera MP number to give consumers a consistent experience with Windows Phone 7 across devices.

Motorola Droid 3- Photos Leaked!

Although many argue that Droid 2 was not much of an upgrade of the first Droid, the same group is excited to see that Droid 3 might be the exact phone we were waiting for. From the leaked photos, we can see that the Droid 3 will have a larger display than the previous models. Some believe that it might turn out to be a qHD display, since newer Motorola cellphones are getting shipped out with them.

T-Mobile Offers Free Calling Through Facebook!

T-Mobile USA has announced that they will be offering free phone calls on computers between Facebook friends. The latest announcement came after the release of a series of add-ons for popular web browsers. Once the add-on is installed, a phone icon appears beside each name in the Facebook chat section. By clicking the icon, a call is then placed through the user’s Internet connection. Although only the caller needs the software for the call to register, both individuals must be on Facebook at the same time, and of course have microphones and speakers.

The software add-ons are currently called Bobsled by T-mobile and the company plans to use the brand for different Internet-calling features. T-Mobile hopes to use the feature for phone apps so they can make free calls to those that matter most.
