3D Display Harms Your Eyes And Brain

Since the introduction of 3D screen technology and 3D movies, we have been attracted to theatres and everything connected with 3D technology. But no one ever thought of why a headache occurs after viewing 3d content. Why does one feel fatigue or visual discomfort after viewing 3D content?

A Research Team at University Of California, Berkley conducted a research on 24 adults and determined that 3D content hurts both your eyes and brain. The medical term used for this is ‘vergence-accomodation’. To view 3D content, the eyes must adjust accordingly and constantly to both screen and distance of the 3D content which puts unnecessary work on eyes and extra burden on your brain.

ISP, Virgin Media, Warns Customers Of SpyEye Trojan

The ISP (Internet Service Provider), Virgin Media has warned over 1,500 of its customers that their PCs have been infected with a malicious virus that steals bank login information. The trojan is called the SpyEye trojan and is well known for its destruction.

Virgin claims that they have not been monitoring their users’ activity but instead received a tip-off from UK police and later discovered infections while researching criminal botnets. A botnet is a group of infected computers that work in conjunction to continue distributing malware across the web.

Nintendo 3DS Makes Gamers Feel Sick, Literally

Thousands of Nintendo 3DS users have reported side-effects such as dizziness, nausea, and headaches after playing with their 3DS players. Some of the users are outraged after finding out that they were ineligible for a refund which retails for about $250. The 3DS was launched just ten days ago. The Nintendo 3DS works by using a device called a parallax barrier, which is the second LCD screen that sits over the main panel, consisting of a layer of precision slits. These precision slits allow each eye to see a different set of pixels, creating three dimensional depth. It is intended to work with the user sitting in a fixed point in front of the image, but not from an angle.
