Microsoft Unveils Media Remote And Bluetooth Headset For Xbox 360

With the news about Microsoft planning on releasing Xbox 720 and integrating Windows 8 with the ability to play Xbox 360 games, some might think that Xbox 360 is now an old story.

If you think you have enjoyed Xbox 360’s experience to its fullest, you are wrong. Microsoft has another card up its sleeve. Microsoft has just unveiled two new accessories for Xbox 360, the Media Remote and Bluetooth Wireless headset.

Hassle-Free Bluetooth Speaker From Jabra

Jabra, a bluetooth cellphone accessory maker has just announced a Bluetooth speakerphone that allows for a plug n’ play experience, without the fuss of an installation.

The system is called Drive and it connects up to devices (e.g. a phone and a GPS unit), and without any setup, it allows the two gadgets to be paired and ‘talk’ to one another.

If you’re just looking to use it as a speakerphone, you can do that too, and users will enjoy 20 hours of talk time and 30 days of standby time on a single charge.

New Bluetooth Ear Set Doubles As Stealthcam

Looxcie has just updated its Bluetooth ear set that doubles as a camcorder and a storage device. The unit weighs in at just 22 grams and stores video as MP4 files. Of course, with a stealth cam, you could capture a lot of video without raising any unwarranted attention. Hopefully people do not use it for the wrong reasons, but I guess that risk runs with any new technology now a days.

Before you laugh at the idea of this tiny unit being a video camera, note that the two models available offer either 5 or 10 hours of video storage, respectively.

Awesome New Xbox360 Gaming Headsets

I think it is safe to say that the Xbox360 is here to stay. After Microsoft proudly noted that 40% of Xbox360 use is for non-gaming purposes (such as using Hulu plus or Netflix), and the recent mention of Halo 4 due for the 2012 holidays, I think it’s safe to expect the next-generation Xbox to arrive sometime in 2013.

I might be wrong on this, but as you can see from Windows 8 leaks, Microsoft isn’t too good about keeping the clamp on its work, and I am sure we would have heard mention of the next-generation Xbox by now, if there were one.

T-Mobile Offers Free Calling Through Facebook!

T-Mobile USA has announced that they will be offering free phone calls on computers between Facebook friends. The latest announcement came after the release of a series of add-ons for popular web browsers. Once the add-on is installed, a phone icon appears beside each name in the Facebook chat section. By clicking the icon, a call is then placed through the user’s Internet connection. Although only the caller needs the software for the call to register, both individuals must be on Facebook at the same time, and of course have microphones and speakers.

The software add-ons are currently called Bobsled by T-mobile and the company plans to use the brand for different Internet-calling features. T-Mobile hopes to use the feature for phone apps so they can make free calls to those that matter most.
