Twitter Redevelops The Web Page For iPad

Looks like to many social networking websites, iPad is a thing they sure have to adapt to. With a brand name like Apple, it’s no wonder they get all the street cred.

Although there had been applications for using both Twitter and Facebook on the iPad, neither of these social networking behemoths were satisfied with their performance. Therefore, Facebook started Project Spartan, an effort to develop a separate HTML5 based Facebook page for the iPad.

Don’t think that Computex is a show only about computers. SanDisk proved otherwise when the company introduced a few flash-based storage solutions, designed for mobile devices and ultraportable laptops. First up, we’ve got the SanDisk U100, a SATA III card that gives thin and light notebooks a run for their money (closer speeds to desktop SSDs)! These new SATA III cards can read/write at speeds of up to 450MB/s and 340MB/s, respectively.

Finally, A Hybrid Car That Goes 200MPH

Jaguar is planning to launch its C-X75 concept vehicle as a hybrid supercar. The C-X75 takes the cake for speed, known to achieve speeds greater than 200MPH and is expected to deliver ultra-low CO2 emissions of less than 99g/km. Finally a concept vehicle with plans through production, something that rarely happens with anything in concept form. I’ve always considered concept technology and vehicles (which I also consider tech) to be creative designs meant to innovate and inspire future creators.

The Eco-marathon is a race where the winning vehicle has the best rated “miles per gallon.” The goal is to complete ten laps around a Houston park at an average speed of 15MPH while consuming the least amount of energy possible. Last year’s winners included students from Laval University in Quebec, and achieved 2,487.5 miles per gallon.
