Foxconn Will Replace Workers With 1 Million Robots

Foxconn is a Chinese based company and the biggest manufacturer of products of some notable companies such as Nokia, Apple and Sony. Foxconn recently got ripped from an iPad 3 manufacturing contract. Moreover the company had been suffering with some serious problems concerning mostly the labor.

The serious problems with labor were suicides of some of the workers because of low wages, protests against the company and an explosion in the factory. Consequently, Foxcon has now decided to replace manual labor with automated machine robots.

New Malware Disguised As Microsoft Update

Be careful, a new anti-virus scam has appeared on the web that appears to be a Microsoft update popup, the only exception is that it happens on Mozilla Firefox browsers. Machines infected by the drive-by downloads from compromised sites, receive the malware that make the user think they need to click-through the urgent update notification.

Anti-virus security group, Sophos states that legitimate updates only come through the Internet Explorer browser. Unfortunately, some victims click through and that’s when their computers become infected with the malware.

Hybrid Tractors Reduce Fuel Consumption By 50%

Heavy duty machinery, such as tractors have been used for mining and agriculture for a very long time. When these heavy duty machines are used, not only do they use up a lot of fuel and produce byproduct carbon emissions, but they are used for hours on end- usually to get some type of job done.

Fortunately, researchers at Aalto University in Finland have taken the success of hybrid technology from cars and implanted that knowledge to build hybrid machines. The heavy duty hybrids use both combustion and electric engines, cutting fuel consumption in half.

New Eee Box Require 70% Less Energy

Asus launched its first AMD Fusion Eee boxes earlier this year at Cebit 2011, the Eee Box EB1020 and EB1021 and no, they are not routers! Both computers feature the same pre-optical drive but the EB1020 has an Ontario C-50 processor while the EB1021 has a Zacate E-350 processor. The AMD C-50 model is a 1GHz dual-core processor, has AMD’s Radeon HD 6250 graphics, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 250GB of storage space (running at 5400 RPM) and USB 2.0.

Google Brings 360 Internal Views Of Businesses

In Google’s effort to bust down walls in hopes of a transparent information world, they may have taken it a step too far this time. Google will be introducing a new feature that allows users to see what a business looks like from the inside. The service will begin piping through the Internet in the United States, Japan, and a few other countries next week. Business owners will be given the option to show their offices and businesses from the inside-out, providing 360-degree tours of the place.
