ARM Processors Aiming To Dominate Notebook Industry?

In the news is the ARM processor technology which has already taken over the smartphone and tablet industry and is now preparing to dominate the personal computing market. According to a market analyst IHS isuppli, in 2015, the ARM processor would be present in 20 percent of the shipped notebooks.

ARM processors require low power, cost less and are high performing pieces of tech which will take benefit of Windows 8, Microsoft’s new operating system to power notebooks; as its the first ever operating system to support ARM processor on notebooks.

Caloric Calculator Apps Require FDA Approval

Well, it looks like the Food and Drug Administration is finally stepping up to the plate when it comes to all those caloric calculator apps you see for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 7.

The proposal will grant the FDA oversight on mobile medical apps for tablets and smartphones. Now, just to be clear on which Caloric calculators will be regulated, it will be the ones that are combined with sensors- turning a basic iPhone into an ECG unit.

Say Hello To New Samsung Memory Cards

Samsung is launching a new series of high performance Memory Cards. All cards can support up to 24 MB/s transfer rate and are made especially for fast data transfers between mobile devices, smartphones, cameras and all other supporting devices.

The Memory Cards have been divided in 2 categories according to users’ needs and affordability i.e. ‘Essential’ and ‘Premier Plus’.

The SDHC/SD and micro SDHC/SD Essential Memory Cards have a varying performance rating of Class 4 and Class 5. They have a warranty of 5 years. These cards’ capacity varies from 2GB to 16GB with write speed up to 13MB/s.

Intels Buys Fulcrum Microsystems To Boost Networking

Intel is acquiring Fulcrum Microsystems (a networking chip company) for an unknown amount of money. The buyout is expected to be the result of Intel’s efforts to boost current network offerings.

Fulcrum was founded in 1999 and they currently design Ethernet switches that are used in data centers. Fulcrum’s 10GB Ethernet and 40GB Ethernet switch products are expected to work well with Intel processors and Ethernet controller offerings.

Survey Says: People Prefer WP7 To Android
