Blackberry Releases New Theme

Blackberry has just released the BlackBerry Theme Studio 6. The new features are amazing! The new theme supports the latest blackberry phones; BlackBerry Torch 9800 and BlackBerry Style 9670 handsets, and BlackBerry 6. The theme has graphic pop-up menus. Also, it has BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), Facebook, and Twitter that feeds to your screen. The theme allows you to update all the graphics in the theme automatically.

The Pantech Vega Racer: World’s Fastest Phone

Pantech, a Korean based company, offers many impressive handheld cellphones, the newest of which is called the Vega Racer, claimed to be the world’s first 1.5GHz dual-core smartphone. The Vega Racer uses Qualcomm’s MSM8660 Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM and an Adreno 220 GPU. The device carries a large 4.3″ LCD screen giving users the simultaneous enjoyment of beauty and brains.

The piece of hardware weighs to be about 4.23 ounces and is 9mm thin. The smartphone features an advanced 8MP rear camera with a 1.3MP front-facing camera and seems to be quite a contender against next-generation smartphones.

Verizon Is Eliminating Unlimited Data Plans

Verizon has officially decided to get rid of unlimited data plans. It has been confirmed by the Verizon CEO Fran Shammo.
The unlimited data plans are going to be replaced new ones are going to be aimed at heavy data users. The new data plans will be similar to those of AT&T. The AT&T data plan includes 250MB for $15 and month and $25 for 2GB.

WordPress iPhone & iPad App Improved – Resolved Issues

Wordpress just announced a long needed upgrade for its new app for iPad and iPhone users. The new version is improved and much better. The new updated app has solved most of the major issues.

Several major bugs have been removed which was the main reason for the app crashing in the first place. The app now has new features as well. One of the new features is the ability to capture a photo from your mobile device then post it right away. The updated app also has a mobile stats display and localization in 10 languages.

Dell Streak Pro- Full Spec Leak With Photos

We now have a full spec and photo leak for Dell’s new 10-inch Honeycomb Tablet, the Dell Streak Pro. Although we’re not sure which exact version of Android the device will have, we do know that it will run on a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 T20 processor from Nvidia. The 10.1-inch screen will carry a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution screen and offer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity.

T-Mobile Rolls Out Phone Trade-In Program

T-Mobile has just rolled out a trade-in program kind of like the American ‘cash for clunkers’ program a couple years ago. This time, we’re talking about phones, not cars. If you have an old phone, and everything works, and there are no cracks in the screen, no liquid damage, T-Mobile will give you up to $300 towards a new phone and accepts trade-ins REGARDLESS of brand or carrier.

Sprint And Verizon Are Passing Up T-Mobile and At&t

Sprint is not the biggest of most of the major cell phone carries, but customers are most pleased with their customer service. There was a survey done for the American Consumer Satisfaction that reflects the pleased customers of Sprint Nextel. The survey was done by 8,000 people.

16MP HTC Phone- Leaked

We’ve been hearing about HTC leaks, left and right. We just covered the HTC Holiday and the HTC Lead, but it looks like another HTC is in the works, codenamed, Bresson. The handset is named after French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson who made candid and street photography popular. So how does this phone relate to that photographer? Well, expect a 16MP camera built into the phone, for starters, making it the highest quality camera available on phone in the market, any market.

Google Fixes Android Information Leak

Yesterday we covered a security leak within Android that affected over 99% of android phones. We are happy to report that Google is working on the problem, and have already implemented a fix on the latest Android Gingerbread software. For all other versions of Android, users will get an automatic download through the air that patches this vulnerability.

New App Can Deposit Checks With Just A Photo

PayPal Mobile app just launched for Android Marketplace reported by the MobileCrunchearlier.
The app has been available for iPhone and BlackBerry users since last year. The app has a cool new little feature called “Mobile Check Capture”. All you have to do is snap a photo of both the front and the back of the check with your phone’s camera, and then watch as the amount on the check is automatically credited to your PayPal account.
