WIMM Wearable Computer Platform

WIMM Labs have unveiled the specifications and details of their new WIMM Wearable Computer Platform. The device looks very interesting. The device resembles the iPod nano featuring WiFi and Bluetooth. It runs on an Android version for displaying messages and notifications.

The device is compatible with the Android phones and can display messages and alerts from your phone to a small display of it’s own. It is basically a platform for developers to build applications. Developers can make their own applications for this wearable computer.

A $30 Alternative To An iPod

These days, one can find a number of ways to enjoy his music. He can listen on his trendy new iPod nano or stream from his smartphone, for example. Even though iPod nano’s are a bit costly for what you get, there might be a solution to your woes. How would you like a device which is of iPod nano’s size but it is a music player, an e-reader and a watch, all-in-one?

This cool watch-o-music player is called Timesnap. The gadget can be tied on your wrist. It’s basic feature is playing MP3 and MP4 music. The Timesnap has a large storage of 4GB which can be extended by an SD memory card up to 8GB. And to your amazement, it is also an e-reader (you might need a magnifying lens to read from such a tiny display). And of course, it’s also a watch.

Research Breakthrough: Time Cloak Is Created

A group of physicists have recently created a time cloak that is able to hide an event from time itself. One of the researchers had a breakthrough, at Cornell University. The researcher, Moti Friedman led the pack.

The cloak works in part of a duality between space and time in electromagnetic theory, and although the explanation is rather long winded, I am going to try to give the basics in a digestible format.

Creative Announces New MP3 Player

Creative has announced today that it will be releasing a new Creative Zen mp3 player. The new M300 media player will feature wireless connectivity and Bluetooth 2.1, allowing users to enjoy their music wirelessly through a set of Bluetooth headphones. The M300 will also feature a microSD Card slot and is capable of having up to 32GB in additional music from built-in memory.

The device comes with an FM radio as do most Zen mp3 players and allows the user to preset up to 32 stations.

Apple iPod Nano Will Have Camera — Leaked Photo

The Chinese blog Apple.pro reported that Apple may be putting a camera into its seventh-generation (7G) iPod nano while keeping the current size and high res display. The latest generation iPod nano has video recording and video playback but no camera.

The unverified photo was published around April fools day and its creating allot of buzz. The blog that released the photo is known for obtaining and leaking accurate information about Apple’s products in the past…
