Huawei Launches Vision With Android Gingerbread

Huawei, though not very successful in the smartphone industry, just keeps on pushing smartphones in the market. A recent example of Huawei, was their Ideos smartphone series had not been very successful because of bulky designs and average specs.

But now, it seems as if Huawei has learned a lesson. The company announced it’s all-new Huawei Vision in Beijing today. Although it is not a high end smartphone, it packs some pretty nice features and hardware. It will come loaded with Android Gingerbread 2.3 and some sort of “3D interface”.

Samsung’s Latest Firmware Leaked

Samsung was working on two new Firmwares for their two Galaxy S smartphones: Epic 4G and Galaxy S 4G. But to Samsung’s disappointment, the new Firmwares were leaked even before Samsung announced them. A tech website SamFirmware has been able to get hands on the new firmware updates.

The Epic 4G is currently bonded with Sprint’s 4G network and the Galaxy S 4G with T-Mobile. These firmware updates bring some serious improvements in the overall user experience. The update for the Epic 4G is named EG22 while the update for Galaxy S 4G is codenamed KG4. The current version of Android running on the machines is 2.3.4, Gingerbread.

Apple To Provide Better Voice Features In iOS 5?

People always demand endless control over electronic gadgets. Probably keeping in view with this theory, voice recognition systems were introduced in smart phones providing the users more freedom of control over the device.

iOS 5 is the upcoming operating system for Apple’s i-devices. iOS seriously lags behind Android because of the latter’s better developed system wide voice recognition system.

Samsung Nexus S Arriving On AT&T

Android is currently the world’s most largely adopted Operating System by the smart phone industry and contributing to the market is Samsung’s Nexus smartphone line. The Nexus S smartphone, co developed by Google and Samsung is a highly admired smartphone, and already available to T-Mobile and Sprint users.

AT&T users have long been waiting for its arrival on AT&T’s network and this wait is finally over as the handset is arriving on the network on 24th july 2011. What more could an Android fan ask for?

Google Maps live traffic signals now in Europe! 13 privileged European countries within this week will experience the live traffic signals via Google maps through the Google maps websites as well as the Google Maps app that’s supplied on various phones.

It mainly uses the information that the traffic message channel service to several GPS units, the company mainly collects the data from various sources like the cameras, road plates and traffic lights operated by state road agencies.

American Airlines Offers First App For Nook Color

The Barnes & Noble’s Nook Color eReader received an update this week that allowed the ability to run apps, check email, and act a lot like an Android tablet, and less of a boring eReader. There will also be third part apps offered on the Nook Color, with American Airlines being one of the first. The airline has its app available on the Nook Color. The app is already offered on other Android and Apple devices, however remains a novelty on the Nook.
