Kisai Kaidoku: A New Way To Tell Time

A new unique watch has just been unveiled by Tokyoflash Japan, and it’s called the Kisai Kaidoku. Submitted to the Tokyoflash Design Studio Blog by a 15 year-old kid from Canada (Tynan Mayhew), it’s the second fan-submitted watch design to make it from concept to execution.

The LCD stainless steel watch displays the date and time using flashing words. Although the watch can let a child get away without learning how to read a traditional clock, we recommend getting your son a regular wrist watch for his birthday.

It looks like we are getting closer and closer to living in a futuristic world. There’s a new device that stores audiovisual memories along with smell. A man by the name of Hyun Jin Park has developed a remarkable piece of technology that stores videos as well as the odor of the particular memory.

Science claims that the sense of smell is one of the strongest trigger cues to invoke a memory, and perhaps we will see these you new gadgets replace current lockets that people carry of their loves ones.

Sony’s CEO Takes 16% Pay Cut

After three years of continuous losses, Sony’s CEO, Howard Stringer, is finally taking a 16% paycut in efforts to allocate that money to other parts of Sony. Okay, so 16% isn’t a lot from a $4.2 million salary, but hey, it’s something.

From the tragic earthquake that occurred in Japan, the company has lost about $3 million and continues to suffer losses after the devastating Sony hack that happened a few months ago from the LulzSec hacking group.
