Nintendo Offers 20 Free Games With New 3DS Purchase

It was just last week when Nintendo revealed a price cut for its 3DS portable gaming device. Many believed that the price cut was due to poor sales since the 3DS received many complaints, ranging from eye strain, headaches, and other things like the LCD screen getting scratched against the cover.

Anyways, I guess the company didn’t think that the massive price cut would be enough, so now they’re giving you 20 free games along with your purchase.

Nintendo Takes 40% Off 3DS Price Tag

Nintendo is already going down the success slope because of poor sales of its recently released 3D gaming console, Nintendo 3DS. This has put Nintendo in some serious trouble. In order to manage the company so that it doesn’t become bankrupt, Nintendo is forced to cut the price of its gaming console in two of the major regions of its availability.

Nintendo 3DS was initially sold for 25000 yen in Japan and for $249-99 in US. It seems that in order to cover the manufacturing costs, Nintendo has reduced the price of their console by as much as 40%. The same console which was sold for 25000 yen would now be available for 15000 yen in Japan and for approximately $150 in US.

Sony Invests $20M In Independent Games

Sony, this week, announced a three year investment to increase its PlayStation Network user base. After the devastating attacks occurred at Sony, the company is trying to figure out what they can do to give them a better edge against Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and a better foothold in the gaming industry.

This is not to say that Sony has slipped to third spot, at least not yet, but I feel that the company is trying to take preventative care before it is too late.

So that leaves me guessing three things. A) LulzSec finally decided to quit, B) they were threatened to be exposed by other hacking groups, or C) it is a hoax! Before the official let go, the hackers posted the rest of the information they stole through previous hacks online.
