Skype Vulnerability Allows Intruders, Fix Coming Soon

The popular Voice Over IP service, Skype, has a serious security issue that can allow a hacker to gain access into a contact’s account. The guy who discovered the serious flaw is Levent Kayan, and he claims that the vulnerability can even make the computer itself prone to a cyber attack.

The problem is based off a cross-site scripting vulnerability that enables hackers to embed JavaScript in the mobile phone field of the victims profile description.

Facebook For 5 Year Olds?

We recently wrote about Facebook having over 7 million users under the age of 13. Obviously this is a problem when you have such young children on the Internet providing many details about themselves. Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg recently stated that he believes children should be educated about Facebook at a really young age so the social media platform doesn’t hit them like a sack of bricks as soon as they turn 13.

7.5M Facebook Users Are Under 13 Years Old

Consumers who want to join Facebook must be at least 13 years old according to Facebook’s terms of service. Contrary to this fact, a new report has surfaced in Consumer Reports that claims that out of 20 million users under 18, 7.5 million of them are younger than 13 and 5 million are younger than ten years old.
