Sony Ericsson Wilhelmina Concept, First Panoramic Phone?

We’ve heard about the PSP phone that lets you enjoy PS1 games on your phone, the Xperia Play, but this new concept by Sony Ericsson is much, much cooler. It’s called the Sony Ericsson Wilhelmina and it is powered by four cores in a clamshell gaming phone factor.

The gorgeous device looks much nicer than the stereotypical PS Vita. It caries two borderless touchscreens and offers a widescreen view for the player.

With Microsoft Kinect, Evoluce can support up to four users simultaneously, allowing them to work on the beautiful 46″ multi-touch LCD screen. The multimedia table is capable of recognizing 60 simultaneous inputs and is the optimal way to collaborate with photos, videos, documents, and maps.

Intel’s Machine Designed For Interactive Advertising

Intel has big plans on bringing a technology similar to Microsoft’s Kinect, but aimed at the business market, rather than gaming. Intel wants to focus their technology on interactive advertising. At the recent Computex, we see a prototype creation on display that demonstrates the concept.

Essentially, a sensor tracks the user and allows him or her to control what is displayed on the screen. On example of this technology would be to scroll through a list of products, while individual products that catch the viewer’s eye can be pulled up and brought into greater detail by hovering over the item.

Foldable Touchscreen Display By Samsung

Earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show 2011, Samsung showed us an amazing AMOLED 4.5-inch and 19-inch transparent display. Although neither is set to enter the market in the near future, the innovation inspired further research. A new prototype foldable display has been created at Samsung’s Advanced Institute of Technology.

The technology contains two panels with a closing radius of only 1mm allowing them to be very close to each other when they are closed and do not appear creased when opened. Beginners luck?

A gentle wave of the hand produces beautiful music. The airpiano is completely programmable and the keys can be configured as tones and as faders for sound filters and volume.

The airpiano was first introduced in 2007 and the third video shows this prototype in action. The beautiful hands-free instrument is now available for sale. The stunning device represents the first musical instrument that allows for intuitive and touch-free interaction.

United States Army Will Use Android Smartphones

In a world that doesn’t, DROID DOES. The United States Army wants every soldier to carry an Android smartphone. A prototype running Android that is called the Joint Battle Command-Platform, is being developed by a tech nonprofit, MITRE, and is undergoing tests.

The development kit supporting it is called the Mobile/Handheld Computing Environment and will be released to app creators in July, according to the U.S. army. The envisioned applications for the JBC-Platform will run a wide scale of tasks. There will definitely be…
