Playstation Vita Can Serve As PS3 Remote

Sony’s next generation PlayStation portable, aka PlayStation Vita is already making a huge buzz regarding its rich hardware and cool features. The device is expected to reach stores in October.

We have already been hearing a lot about the device’s feature to synchronize content with PlayStation 3. But according to latest reports, the device can possibly serve as a PS3 remote control.

Rumor: PlayStation Vita Will Be Arriving On October 28

The release date of Sony’s PlayStation Vita has been leaked by a Blockbuster flyer and according to the claims; the Vita (both 3G and non-3G version) will be ready for release on October 28.

The Japanese tech giant, Sony already has stated that they will release the PlayStation Vita this year. However, the unanswered questions were: where and when? Although the Vita is highly expected to be first launched in Japan (since Japan is the hardware manufacturer’s country of origin), the Vita’s birth may have another twist of fate.

Nintendo 3DS Gamers Enjoy Netflix Streaming

Nintendo 3DS owners will soon be able to enjoy the benefits of Netflix streaming on their portable gaming devices with a free app. With The 3DS’ 3D capabilities, Netflix offers the golden ticket to watching 3D content ‘on demand’.

Of course, you are limited to a somewhat small screen, but you’ll have an entertainment portal wherever you go. Getting tired of trying to beat the same boss level 5 times? Why not unwind with an awesome 3D movie to get your mind off it?

Sony has been under fire since hackers in April accessed personal information on 77 million PlayStation Network and Qriocity accounts, 90 percent of which are users in North America or Europe.

Sony said at the time credit card information may have been stolen, sparking lawsuits and casting a shadow over its plans to combine content and hardware products via online services.

GeoHotz Found A Job At Facebook

It wasn’t long though, until Sony dropped the case when they realized Hotz had a secret network of alliances, then known as the anonymous hacking group (and later redubbed Lulz Security).

George Hotz started working for Facebook in May when he was offered a job, but had not publicly announced it until June 17th. His Facebook profile is further confirmation that he is not joking.

As we have wrote before, the WiFi and 3G model will cost $300 in the US while the Wifi only model will be $249, and it is expected to ship on November 4th of this year, making it a hot commodity.

Sony Is Sorry, Offers Free Stuff

Following Sony’s massive hack and losing personal information of over 100 million users, as well as having 3-4 weeks of downtime has caused Sony to offer an “apology package.” The package includes a selection of free games, extra days of premium content, a free 12-month identity protection program (available for gamers in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain, as well as the U.S.), fraud support, a dedicated helpline, and insurance-covered identity restoration. The only catch is that the user must be over 18 years of age and have been an account holder as of April 20th, 2011.
