iTunes Introduces Replay Movie Feature

Recently, Apple introduced a new service which would allow users to stream TV shows which they had already purchased on their Apple TV. It was rumored that Apple would launch a music streaming service with iCloud and iTunes, but the latest reports suggest that Apple is now working on a new movie streaming service called iTunes Replay.

According to the experts at App Advice Apple, the company is soon to launch a new movie streaming service on iTunes which will allow users to re-stream the movies which they had already purchased and will also provide the facility to re-download them.

Chinese Boy Sells Kidney To Buy iPad, Now Faces Regret

A 17 year old Chinese boy had decided to sell his kidney for 20,000 Chinese Yuan (about $3,000 USD) so he could buy an iPad, according to the Shanghai Daily. I have no idea what the boy was thinking and if he knew exactly what he was getting into. I can understand when a loved one makes the decision to donate a kidney to a family member or close friend, but how about some stranger on the Internet?

We’re not sure what medium was used to contact the boy, but the boy agreed and the arrangements were made. His mother had no idea about the decision until he came home.

AT&T Aims To Destroy Groupon & Co.

Groupon, you’re toast. Or at least that’s what AT&T is thinking right now. The telecommunications giant began pre-registration to consumers in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Dallas-Fort Worth for a service through the company’s yellowpages.com. Under the new system, YP will send daily deals to consumers. The company is currently offering ten dollars toward the first Deal of the Day to those who sign up through May 22nd.

Apple Takes Another Step In Cloud Direction

After our recent blog about Apple’s upcoming cloud service, we have new information that Apple has made a purchase in the Cloud industry. Apple has purchased iCloud for $4.5 million which could be an excellent foreshadowing of future success. Although it has not been officially confirmed by Apple, GigaOM reports that Xcerion may have sold the iCloud.com domain.

Wal Mart Acquires Kosmix For Social Initiatives

In a time of buyouts, Wal-Mart is buying Kosmix, a social media company that is based in the heart of silicon valley, Mountain View, California. Although Wal-Mart did not mention specifics of the agreement, they did say that the acquisition will be instrumental in rolling out new social and mobile initiatives.

Wal-Mart continued in saying that the @WalmartLabs team will work hard on building its social and mobile commerce strategy in efforts to keep its online and in-store avenues in tact. I believe this is a necessary move for Wal-Mart, a corporation that now has physical stores in 15 countries and e-commerce businesses in nine countries.
