Texas Researchers Hack Drones…

University of Texas at Austin did what many countries failed to do, they hijacked an American drone by spoofing its GPS signals. The news comes as the United States Federal Aviation Authority prepares to integrate drones into the country’s national airspace system. It was actually mandated by FAA Reauthorization and Reform Act of 2012, Which was signed in to law by President Obama earlier this February.

Samsung’s Latest Firmware Leaked

Samsung was working on two new Firmwares for their two Galaxy S smartphones: Epic 4G and Galaxy S 4G. But to Samsung’s disappointment, the new Firmwares were leaked even before Samsung announced them. A tech website SamFirmware has been able to get hands on the new firmware updates.

The Epic 4G is currently bonded with Sprint’s 4G network and the Galaxy S 4G with T-Mobile. These firmware updates bring some serious improvements in the overall user experience. The update for the Epic 4G is named EG22 while the update for Galaxy S 4G is codenamed KG4. The current version of Android running on the machines is 2.3.4, Gingerbread.

Government Shutdown May Delay Space Shuttle Launch

NASA confirmed on April 8th, 2011 that a government shutdown might delay the final launch of the space shuttle Endeavour. The odds of a shutdown increased when Democrats and Republicans wrestled over a budget plan. According to Computerworld, a NASA spokesman said that although a shutdown lasting only a few days would not “affect the scheduled April 29 shuttle launch, a longer shutdown” would.
