US Supreme Court Rejects Ban On Violent Games

The US Supreme court has recently rejected the 2005 California law that banned the sale or rental of violent video games to anyone under age 18. Now, parents could still purchase these violent games for their children, but any store caught selling the game to a minor could face a fine up to $1,000.

The court ruled against the ban 7-2, in accordance with the free speech rights found in the US constitution. Contrary to some beliefs that violent video games pose a bad influence on young children, the courts upheld that they did not want to filter what children are exposed to and essentially left that duty up to the parents or caretakers of the child.

Awesome Android Arcade Game: Radiant HD

If you own an Android tablet or Android phone and haven’t found many uses for it yet, know that there are some killer games out there on the Android platform that will be sure to deliver hours of fun. Grand Theft Auto 5, Well Under Way

According to GameSpot, sources close to Take-Two Interactive subsidiary have confirmed to GameSpot that the next Grand Theft Auto is well under way, predicting a 2012 release. The sources wouldn’t give any further information over the project, however a recent set of casting calls from a talent agency (to do voice-overs) point to Los-Angeles as the main setting for the game.

If you’re unfamiliar with Grand Theft Auto, it’s a very popular shoot-em-up series where the main character completes gang-like missions, steal cars, establishes relationships, and earns money through successful missions.

How Would You Like A PlayStation Vita?

Sony revealed its new PlayStation handheld device, the PlayStation Vita, aimed to replace the existing Sony PSP. The device will go on sale for $249 for a regular model or $299 for a 3G version and will be available in time for the holiday rush.

Analysts and commentators immediately said that the device was overpriced and while it could be a good investment for someone planning to constantly use the device, it’s way too expensive for the mass market.

Electronics manufacturer, Sigma has just released a very high-end 46 megapixel DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) camera that is sure to capture the highest quality photos. Hitting the ultra-high benchmark of megapixels doesn’t come easy. Sigma used a three-layer sensor, made up of 15MP per layer, using a True II Image processor.

The super sharp camera also produces 100 to 6,400 iso sensitivity, 11-point auto-focus and has a magnesium body with sealed o-rings. The camera features a three-inch 460,000 color LCD that ensures the photographer that only the best photos be taken.
