LEAKED: Facebook’s New Photo Sharing App

Facebook is expected to launch it sown iPhone photo-sharing service that will go head to head with Instragram and Path. 50MB of data has already been gathered about Facebook’s project, including documents and images of the work in progress.

The service is called WithPeople or Hovertown, internally, and people believe that it will be launched as a built-in feature to its existing Facebook iPhone app or as a separate application, altogether.

France Bans Words, ‘Twitter’ And ‘Facebook’ From TV/Radio

France has, and continues to ban the names of both social networking sites from being spoken on radio or television, unless of course, the terms are part of a news story. Before you go crazy, the reasoning isn’t quite as absurd as our use of “Freedom Fries.”

The ban dates back to a 1992 decree (law issued by head of state) that claims the mentioning of such names as an act of advertising. France believes that saying “Facebook” or “Twitter” is preferential toward successful social networking sites, and takes the spotlight from other lesser known social networking sites.

Many people out in the social networking groups are out to become popular. In their minds it really doesn’t matter what it is you do for a living or what you do professionally, just as long as you have a large following. They are hoping that popularity would increase the possibility of selling something or closing a deal.
