Chrome 13 Features Instant Pages & Print Preview

With surveys declaring IE users dumb and of low IQ, Chrome is definitely making news as the fastest and lightest web browser ever made. I don’t doubt Chrome’s speed and portability; however, calling IE users “low IQ” is a little rude. Isn’t it?

Apart from these stories what we are talking about is search giant Google’s newer version of their self proclaimed world’s fastest browser, Google Chrome.

AT&T To Thwart Speeds Of Excessive Data Eaters

AT&T’s unlimited data plan had been very successful, but on the other hand, it also hurt AT&T to some extent. Therefore, on release of the iPhone 4 AT&T canceled its new unlimited data plans but retained it for those who were already using unlimited plan.

Those users had been in pure bliss enjoying unlimited speeds without any contravention. But their experience is going to change on October 1st.

Wifi With 45 Miles Of Range, Pure Bliss

It feels really bad when you are having an important conversation on Skype and you go to check whose at the door and eventually your call terminates because you have walked out of your WiFi range.

Hopefully this won’t happen anymore because engineers at On-Ramp Wireless have succeeded in engineering a transmitter capable of transmitting WIFI signals up to 45 Miles.

London To NY In Two Hours

A jet that can fly from London to New York in two hours could rob Concorde of its title as the fastest-ever passenger plane.Plans have been unveiled for the Hypermach SonicStar, a business jet which will be capable of a top speed of 2,664mph twice as fast as Concorde. It will fly at 62,000ft, allowing passengers to see the curvature of the earth

Comcast CEO Shows Off 1Gbps Internet Speeds

Brian Roberts, the CEO of Comcast, has recently shown off the next-generation cable broadband technology. The new broadband would deliver speeds over 1Gbps to homes. As you can see in the video below, Roberts demonstrates himself downloading 23 episodes of the TV show, 30 Rock in just under two minutes.

Comcast boasted that it is the largest broadband provider in the United States and that the company has big plans for the future. Currently, the technology was only tested on an eleven mile cable network, but it proves the potential of the company as they expand coverage throughout.

Intel 710 + 720 SSDs Get Leaked

We have just got word of the leaked enterprise solid state drives from Intel. The Intel 710 “Lyndonville” and the Intel 720 “Ramsdale” are now in the spotlight. The 710 has 25nm HET MLC, a more durable form of MLC (multi-level cell). The 710 comes in a number of capacities, 100GB, 200GB, and 300GB, claiming to have read and write speeds of 270MB/s over 210MB/s, running on a solid 3Gbps SATA connection.

The 720 comes on 34nm SLC (single-level cell) chips, and comprises a 200GB and 400GB capacity. The speeds it carries are read/write of up to 2200MB/s over 1800MB/s, which may be a typo from the leaked roadmap or the majority of solid-state drives will drastically go down in price.

Finally, A Hybrid Car That Goes 200MPH

Jaguar is planning to launch its C-X75 concept vehicle as a hybrid supercar. The C-X75 takes the cake for speed, known to achieve speeds greater than 200MPH and is expected to deliver ultra-low CO2 emissions of less than 99g/km. Finally a concept vehicle with plans through production, something that rarely happens with anything in concept form. I’ve always considered concept technology and vehicles (which I also consider tech) to be creative designs meant to innovate and inspire future creators.

New Hydrocycle Lets You Bike In Waters

A new Hydrocycle is out on the market, it’s basically a watercraft that lets you “ride it” much like riding a bicycle, except you’ll be in water. The rider will move the pedals in a clockwise fashion to spin a 12″ propeller, allowing the Hydrocycle to drive smoothly on rivers, lakes, or even oceans at speeds up to six miles per hour. The Hydrocycle uses polyethylene pontoons that were developed by a professional canoe designer for optimum buoyancy (don’t worry, you won’t have to hold your breath to stay afloat)!

EA Games Announces Need For Speed: The Run

I’ve never been a fan of the Burnout series but have heard many gamers say it was good. I have, however, been a huge fan of the Need for Speed series. While the NFS series has fluctuated in quality from game to game, it is still a series I would always give time to evaluate. I wasn’t much of a fan of the Need For Speed: Underground series. My two personal favorite games of the series were Hot Pursuit 2 (the PS2 original and the 2010 remake) and Most Wanted. Those two games brought the best cars, the best action, the best cop chases, and the coolest maps out of the entire series.

The N750 From NETGEAR Offers 450Mbps Wireless Speeds

NETGEAR has recently launched a new router that offers dual band wireless transmission at rates up to 750Mbps. The new Dual Band Gigabit Router is called the NETGEAR N750 and the router transmits data simultaneously over both wireless N bands (up to 450Mbps in the 5GHz band) and up to 300Mbps in the 2.5 GHz band.

The N750 also offers a host of parental controls for the concerned parent, as well as implementing a broadband usage meter for those worried about data caps. The router supports DLNA, and easily handles HD video, music, and photos.
