Do You Have Facebook Fatigue?

Are you addicted to Facebook? So much so that you’re sick of the social media platform? We’ve recently covered the falling numbers with Facebook, but we haven’t exactly figured out why people are closing their accounts.

Although Facebook believes it’s a seasonal change, I argued that it didn’t make sense for students to close their Facebook accounts when they’d (on average) have more time on their hands, now that school is out.

11 New AMD-Powered Notebooks, From HP

If you’re on the market looking for a new PC, your job just got a lot harder. Computer maker, Hewlett-Packard has just announced a crazed wave of new notebooks that will get you excited for this summer. Each of the new notebooks will feature AMD’s Vision technology, a step up above of the previous Fusion Accelerated Processing Units (APU). The result? Smaller and more light weight full-sized notebooks.

The HP DV series, which has been around for a while, are all getting CoolSense, True Vision HD webcam, and HP’s Beats Audio (on the DV6 and DV7 only). The DV series (DV4, DV6, and DV7) will also be enjoying 2x the graphics power compared to previous generations allowing a new gaming standard, even for those who opt out for a discrete graphics card.

Facebook Loses 7.5M Users In U.S. And Canada

For the first time in Facebook history, the social media giant is actually losing customers at high numbers. Facebook lost six million users in the United States last month, dropping from 155 million to 149 million. It also lost an additional 1.52 million users in Canada, an 8% decrease.

Fortunately, growth was still up about 2% from growth in Mexico and Brazil but the fact that the numbers are taking a dive for Americans and Canadians seem a bit strange. Do you think people finally realized the toll Facebook took on privacy? Were they tired of having their friends know every little profile change and update about them?

New Hydrocycle Lets You Bike In Waters

A new Hydrocycle is out on the market, it’s basically a watercraft that lets you “ride it” much like riding a bicycle, except you’ll be in water. The rider will move the pedals in a clockwise fashion to spin a 12″ propeller, allowing the Hydrocycle to drive smoothly on rivers, lakes, or even oceans at speeds up to six miles per hour. The Hydrocycle uses polyethylene pontoons that were developed by a professional canoe designer for optimum buoyancy (don’t worry, you won’t have to hold your breath to stay afloat)!

Malicious Tweet Masked As Lady Gaga Video

If you enjoy the social platform, Twitter, be on the lookout if you choose to use the application today. The anti-virus platform, Sophos has warned that users have been receiving fake invites tempting Lady Gaga fans to have a look at a “banned video.” Users who follow the link will be pointed to a fake YouTube spoof page that will ask for all their twitter details. Those who proceed will have their tweets controller by Spanish-speaking scammers, as reported by a number of victims.
