Acer Releases Android 3.1 For Tablets In Germany

If you have an Iconia Tab A500 and an unbridled passion for running the latest Android software, we’ve got good news for you. Acer’s 3.1 update for the Iconia Tab A500 is now available for our German friends.

The UI and various visual interfaces have been made smoother and faster, with the new interface promises to be easier to see, understand, and use. There will be support for wider range of USB devices.

Acer Iconia Tab A100 3G Hitting Stores Soon

The new Acer 3G Iconia Tab A100 is almost here. Consumers can pre-order the device through UK’s Amazon for $399 pounds. The Iconia Tab A100 ships out with a 7-inch touchscreen display and has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The device comes loaded with Android 3.0 Honeycomb, a Tegra 250 A9 processor, and a 3G Module Huawei EM770W and connectivity via Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n connection.

Lenovo Will Bring 23-Inch Tablet To Life

While we’ve certainly covered a number of tablets, this one sure leaves an impression in one’s mind. While I have never heard of a tablet under 11 inches, you always hear that there is a first time for everything. Senior Specialist in Marketing, William Cai, says that Lenovo will launch a 23-inch tablet due by the end of 2011.

He admits the obvious, that the tablet won’t be as portable as your typical tablet but in so many words states that it is “portable enough.” As a geek, I see many uses of a 23-inch tablet. One of which is being able to setup a mini-theater for you and 3-4 of your friends. I would love to be able to tote a 23-inch display around that carries all my data, imagine what it would be like to watch movies/Hulu.

Archos Arnova 10: A Noteworthy Tablet Under $200

The Archos Arnova 10 Tablet has now become available for purchase, priced as low as $187.66. The budget tablet carries a 10.1 inch resistive touchscreen display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. The tablet also has an integrated webcam for live video chat, USB 2.0 port, and a USB connector. It offers 802.11 b/g WiFi support to connect to the internet.

Acer Iconia Stamped With a Release Date

Following competitive pricing on the Eee Pad Transformer, Acer has priced its 7-inch Iconia Tab just under the $500 mark. Acer’s Iconia Tab will feature a dual-core Tegra 2 processor along with Android 3.0 Honeycomb, as well as 512MB of memory. Unfortunately, the Iconia Tab will only have 8GB of memory, so do not expect to load too many movies on this device.
