Microsoft Signs Android Patent Deal With Wistron

Microsoft announced the fourth patent-licensing deal in two weeks with a maker of Android devices, announcement timed perhaps to suggest that it has some momentum for its claims that Google’s mobile operating system violates Microsoft’s patents.

Wistron Corp, a spinoff of Acer, is the latest company to make an agreement with Microsoft in a string of lawsuits and royalty clashes that’s spanned the course of two months.

Is An iPod Touch 3G On The Way ?

The iPod Touch could soon ship with a 3G antenna, bringing the consistently popular MP3 and media player one step closer to the more full-featured iPhone.

That’s the rumor this week from a Dutch tech site called Apple Spot, which claims that consumers would purchase SIM cards from their providers, and snap those SIM cards right into the back of the iPod Touch. And look there! You’ve got 3G.

Is Motorola Xoom Getting Android 3.2 “Within Days?”

Heads up Motorola Xoom owners, you may be seeing another Honeycomb update coming your way in the very near future. Yesterday, a Google employee apparently confirmed Android 3.2 Honeycomb, the update that got unofficially detailed a few weeks ago, will be coming to the Xoom “within days.”

This is one of only a handful of times we have heard mention of Android 3.2, an update that is said to bring support for a wider range of screen sizes and help bridge the gap to Ice Cream Sandwich.

Microsoft Confirms Gears Of War 3 Leak

The latest news covering Gears of War 3 is about the torrent leak; apparently the leak has nothing to do with the final build.

CVG reports that Epic and Microsoft have both responded about the latest Gears of War 3 torrent leak that happened over the weekend, letting fans know that the leak has nothing to do or represent that the players will have with the real thing. The game will be finally released worldwide on September 20, 2011.

AntiSec Hacked Into Apple Servers ?

According to AntiSec’s Twitter update they’ve recently hacked into Apple’s servers and obtained user data including passwords. AntiSec used a pretty known and easy method of “SQL injection” to obtain user data from Apple’s servers. And this not for the first time LulzSec also previously claimed to hack Apple’s new iCloud service.

“AntiSec,” a hacking campaign that includes hackers from both the online vigilante group Anonymous and hackers from the now-defunct Lulz Security, posted a document containing a link to a supposed Apple server along with a list of 26 administrative usernames and passwords. AntiSec is Internet shorthand for “anti-security.”
