Texas Researchers Hack Drones…

University of Texas at Austin did what many countries failed to do, they hijacked an American drone by spoofing its GPS signals. The news comes as the United States Federal Aviation Authority prepares to integrate drones into the country’s national airspace system. It was actually mandated by FAA Reauthorization and Reform Act of 2012, Which was signed in to law by President Obama earlier this February.

Apple Responds To Lodsys’s Lawsuit Threats

After waiting two weeks for a reply Apple has finally came back with a response for the threats against small app developers made by Lodsys. Lodsys is a small Texas company that it claims cover in-app purchasing. A letter was sent by Apple GC Bruce Sewell that says the app makers are already covered by the license Apple has taken to the four Lodsys patents.

Marketing Firm Breached – Banks Warning Customers

Multiple banks are warning customers that their personal information (name and email address) was accessed by hackers who breached a national marketing firm in Dallas, TX.

Epsilon Interactive, a global marketing firm, was hacked and their clients marketing files was compromised. The names and email addresses were exposed as part of the breached and the data has fallen into the wrong hands when someone broke into Epsilon’s computer systems.
