Asus Reveals World’s Thinnest Notebook, The U36

Electronics manufacturer Asus, has been a leader of many firsts. They were the first to get netbooks to take off with the Eee PC 4G surf way back in 2007. I remember marveling at netbooks back then, and I still have my Eee PC1000H I bought in August of 2008- it still works well.

Asus has just revealed a 13.3″ notebook dubbed the U36 that is purportedly the thinnest in the world. It is powered by a fast Intel Core i5 CPU and a Super Hybrid Engine to cut down power consumption on the laptop.

HP Unleashes Shiny New Pavilion Notebooks

Hewlett-Packard quietly unleashed its new lineup up shiny Pavilion notebooks. The new notebooks feature Intel’s latest and greatest, Sandy Bridge processors. The new laptop is called the Pavilion G6S and features a vibrant but classy color and contains a 15.6″ (1366 by 768 resolution) and gives consumers a choice between the Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 processors.

HP Announces Ultra-Thin LCD + Low Cost Data Plans

Hewlett-Packard is releasing an ultra-thin display. If you thought Apple was the leader in this market, think again! The 21.5″ Elite L2201x has a power supply that is located outside the device, allowing for the screen to be as thin as 0.4 inches thick. The display offers a beautiful metal finish to its stand with glossy black borders around the screen itself. It only has one port which is a DisplayPort but we are hoping this will be enough for the majority of users.

The LCD screen is undoubtedly one of the largest factors that drains the battery life of technologies. Whether it’s a smartphone or a tablet, we have to be constantly aware of how much battery is left on the device. For example, I always question if it is a good idea to kill time by playing games on my phone for fear of battery drain and missing an important call.
