Anonymous has dumped files about IRC Federal, a government contracted IT firm, in honor of their F**k FBI Friday ‘holiday’. They’ve gotten access to contracts, internal documents, development schematics, logins and more.

Nothing of great importance had been leaked, but Anonymous did leave a message for the company asking them to stop working for the government.

A microscopic ‘pinhead’ camera has been developed that costs pennies to make and could have a host of applications, from surgery to robotics.

The device is small enough to fit on the head of a pin and contains no lenses or moving parts. It is created from pieces of silicon doped to make them sensitive to light at different angles.

Baidu, Microsoft Team Up For English Search In China

Google Inc may face a new challenge in China as Microsoft Corp, its main rival in the United States, and Baidu Inc, China’s biggest search engine, are joining forces against it in the world’s largest Internet market.

Baidu, China’s biggest search engine by revenue, on Monday announced a partnership with Microsoft that would allow its users to see English-language search results generated by Bing, the US company’s search engine.No financial considerations were involved in the deal, which will see Bing’s search results labeled and integrated into Baidu’s search results from later this year.

Hacked Fox News Twitter Feed Reports Death Of President Obama

The Fox News Twitter feed has reportedly been hacked Monday, with a series of tweets announcing that President Barack Obama had been assassinated.

According to the Guardian News blog,the first tweet to announce that Obama had been shot dead were sent by @foxnewspolitics at approximately 2am local time to its feed’s 33,000 followers. The tweets were rapidly shared on the internet.

Solar Powered Prison Facilities Save $55M

In addition to educational programs for prisoners, California’s “Con College” will give an opportunity for prisoners to lower their carbon footprint. The CDCR (California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation) will be adding 23 megawatts of solar-generated power at five state prison facilities in Southern California. The CDCR has estimated that the solar projects will save taxpayers more than $55 million over the long term.
