YouTube Delivers Creative Commons Library

Youtube has just delivered a Creative Commons license that allows creators to reuse and remake their favorite content, with ease. With the new copyright license from Creative Commons, licensors will be able to keep the copyright while letting others copy, distribute, and re-use the work for non-commercial purposes.

This will make it perfectly legal to remix clips and videos that are tagged with the Creative Commons license. The only requirement is that the original creator gets credited at some point in the video.

New Google Video-On-Demand Service Arriving Next Week!

What do you think about Netflix? I’ve used Netflix on and off for a number of years but have never been that thrilled with the service. I will admit that it is cool to be able to rent older classics or new releases that you may have not had the time to see in the theaters, but overall I wasn’t very impressed. The fact that you have to remember to log on to check if the DVD is already out was a bit of a hassle for me. Because I have better things to do, I would not login to check frequently enough and forget which movies to “look out for”, thus never renting the release. I guess you could call me lazy for not writing down the movies on a list and diligently checking, but I am sure I am not the only lazy person out there.
