Play Traditional Vinyl Records, Vertically

Everyone is working on creating new things such as creating new applications and converting things from analog to digital but very few companies are trying to make advancements in ‘old things’. Have you ever thought of playing vinyl records vertically?

Well, now it is possible. Ionaudio has introduced a new Vertical Vinyl system for playing records. So now you can play records vertically by place it on the wall, and I have to admit, it’s a pretty neat feature for all the audiophiles out there.

See Through Sound, How The Blind Can Use Sonar

Although there have been a number of prototypes aimed to replace the cane that blind people use to get around, this one is by far the most interesting. The Virtual Cane was invented from a Hebrew University and uses sonar to detect objects.

The user is required to move the hand held device in a similar motion as a normal cane, except the good thing about this device is that it won’t hit any dogs or pedestrians walking by.

Hercules has released a new mini-speaker kit that runs off USB 2.0 power. They claim it is designed for “female audiences”, but we can picture some wanna-be gangsters buying these to add some bling to their bling bling. Since these speakers run on only one chord for both audio and power, they make the ideal speaker set for people who use laptops. I don’t think these will necessarily deliver…
