Ultra-Rugged Waterproof Notebook W/ 128GB SSD

The new General Dynamic GD2000 is the most rugged notebook you’ll ever find. The reason I say that is because it’s the first waterproof notebook that I have ever heard of.

Okay, so I’ll admit it isn’t the sexiest computing machine I’ve seen, but come on, it’s waterproof! The GD2000 is a small 5.6″ notebook that carries an Intel Celeron M processor, operating at 1.2GHz and houses 2GB of DDR3 RAM.

Great Budget Notebook: Samsung Series 4

We just got word that there is a new Samsung notebook, the Samsung Series 4, model 400B2Bs. The notebook is aimed for ultra mobile users who need something light enough to take with them wherever they go, but powerful enough to handle basic business computing. The machine wasn’t designed to compete with the aesthetics of the MacBook, but when you need a computer, style doesn’t really matter.

Interestingly, it comes with an IBM-style tracking numb embedded within the keyboard that can be used as a mouse. This tracking numb is traditional of most IBM business notebooks. The notebook also has a fingerprint reader for security, and while not a new invention, does complement the business image rather well.
