GoldenEye 007:Reloaded On PS3 And Xbox 360

James Bond is considered to be the most robust, agile and good looking Intelligence agent in the world, and with Daniel Craig the 007 series has become the heartbeat of a majority of audience.

GoldenEye the seventh Bond film was a classic and Activision gave it a new life by releasing GoldenEye 007 for Nintendo’s Wii. The Activision product was rated as the best shooter game on Wii.

Leak: Sony Going Deep With Virtual Reality

Hopefully the days of a silly console controller are over. I’ve said it before, but I am getting tired of playing console games with the dual joy-stick. Sure, it was awesome in 2002, but times are changing and we are living in a world where we want to interact more with our media.

Think about how Google+ has their hangouts, a rich way to communicate with one another via videochat, and how about the new Wii U and the touch-screen controller? The Xbox Kinect? The more you think about it, the clearer it becomes- the concept of fun is being defined by how much we can do with our gadgets, and Sony might be catching on.

Nintendo: 73% Of Gamers Use Our Stuff

An internal study done by Nintendo claims that 73% of US gamers prefer to use Nintendo products over other gaming consoles. Before you go, “Hey, wait a second…”, the large percentage includes 43% of players who play exclusively on its products and another 30% who play on Nintendo as well as other consoles.

If these statistics are supposed to make me by a console, better luck next time, Nintendo. Another thing I would like to see back up those percentages would be a sample group, who exactly was surveyed, etc. If the sample group was only 100 people, then the results should be taken with a grain of salt.

Next Generation Xbox Unveiled At E3 2012

According to VideoGamer, it looks like Microsoft is planning to unveil its all-new Xbox360 successor at next years E3 trade show. In fact, Crytek, has already begun creating a new TimeSplitters game for the new console.

No clue on what we can expect the specs to be but we do know that the next gen console will run on DirectX 11 (the same platform that the latest Windows 7 PCs run on). Both Microsoft and Crytek declined to comment on the issue, perhaps hoping to make it more of a surprise as the next E3 closes in.

Army Sniper For Android, Check It Out!

As a gamer, I find it quite hard to find shooter games on the Android platform. I think it’s because shooting games are touted to be ideal for 3D graphics and therefore most people enjoy first-person shooters on consoles such as the Xbox360 or the PlayStation 3.

But why does all shooting have to be three-dimensional with top-of-the-line graphics? Can’t I enjoy some 2D sniping once in a while? With Army Sniper, a new Android game, I can. Army Sniper’s main objective are to simply snipe terrorists. To move the sniper scope to your target, the user must tilt the Android tablet or Android phone and press a button to shoot.

New Study: The Average Gamer Is 37 Years Old

Don’t worry too much if someone has told you that you were too old to be playing video games, they’re wrong. According to a new study released at E3, 72% of Americans play videogames, and of the 72%, 82% of gamers are adults.

The research was collected from 1,200 nationally representative households that were identified as owning either a video console or a PC that was used to play videogames. It turns out that the average American gamer is 37 years old, and has been playing for 13 years.

Next Generation Wii U, Coming 2012

It looks like E3 has finally brought something of great substance for Nintendo fans, worldwide. The company has just unveiled the next generation Nintendo system, named the Wii U. While this won’t carry the same intensive graphics as the PlayStation 3 or Xbox360, it is essentially a High Definition Wii.

The controller itself has an integrated touchscreen, allowing you to do more and interact more with your games. You can even enjoy videoconferencing with your new Wii controller, and it almost seems like the controller is the highlight of the console.

Solar Charge Any Device As Quickly As A Wall Outlet

A company called Suntactics has started to ship the sCharger-5, a solar charger for the iPhone, iPad, and Droid devices. How does it work? Users will need to plug the USB cable into the charger and the iPad 2 or iPhone will begin charging. The light weight, and small size allows anyone to use the solar charger, fairly intuitively.

The sCharger-5 isn’t limited to just iPads and droids however, consumers are also able to hook up their portable gaming systems such as the Nintendo DSI up to the solar charger when batteries run low.

Xbox 360 Will Get Full Stereoscopic 3D

A new report states that Microsoft will reveal full stereoscopic 3D capabilities for its Xbox 360 gaming console at E3 this June. EuroGamer claims that the stereo 3D support is expected to work similar to PS3’s three dimensional effect and feature an HDMI 1.4 stereoscopic 3D in 1280 x 1470 twin 720p, allowing 720p to work with each eye.

Hardware-wise, the new Xbox360 won’t have anything to be desired beyond the 3D option and if you’re not into 3D, there won’t be much use for this new version.
